Uncensored Speakers is a social Toastmasters club where you will learn to be a better speaker and leader. We’re all about enjoyment, learning and challenging the status quo.
Guests Welcome
Our club meets every 2nd and 4th Friday throughout the year. Come along any evening as a guest and if you’d like to join our club, just let us know. We usually go to the Library Bar in the hotel after the meeting.
Meeting Format
A typical meeting lasts for 1 3/4 hours. The meeting has two parts, an ‘off the cuff’ speaking Table Topics Session at the start, and prepared speeches section after the break.
Our Table Topics Session encourages members to speak on a randomly chosen topic. The idea of this exercise is to practice thinking on your feet. It is designed to be an informal and entertaining session. As a guest, you do not have to speak during the Off The Cuff speaking session, but you’re guaranteed to have lots more fun if you do.
We also have prepared Speeches delivered by members who are working through the Toastmasters communication programs. This is followed by an evaluation session. Our evaluations are always positive and encouraging, and are designed to support and inspire everyone present.
As a guest, you can come along to any of our meetings and please note you are not required to participate at any point. Members and guests come along to practice, learn and give feedback.
